A Letter from Janefrances

If you have the time, I’d like to share something with you. Why I do this mentorship this way.

I’ve worked with hundreds of designers. Fresh from bootcamps, some years into their careers, and almost all struggled with one thing: depth. They focused on making things prettier instead of making them work for real business outcomes.

That’s why UX designers are often underpaid or replaced by AI. Because if all you do is move rectangles, AI can do it faster. However, when you can explain why your design helps users finish onboarding faster, or how it increases retention by 30%, no AI can replace you. That’s the kind of designer companies can’t ignore.

Because like it or not, AI will change how UI/UX design works in 3 to 5 years time. It’s not if, it’s when. Sadly, even some experienced designers make these same mistakes, and I do not blame them because no one pointed them the right way.

That’s why I’m here, to point you into the right way. The UX Design Mentorship isn’t about color palettes. It’s about helping you think clearly, solve real problems, communicate your value with confidence, and stay ahead of the competition (be indispensable).

If you’ve been stuck guessing why you’re not getting hired, this is where you’ll finally see why and fix it.

Before Mentorix, I was one of those designers who was yet to find his feet in the design world. Getting overwhelmed by a lot of things already, I was at the point of giving up! That was when I came across Mentorix and Janefrances. With Mentorix, I have learnt in about 2 months what I didn’t learn in 2 years. The journey became so smooth and easy. With Mentorix, I learnt how to carry out proper research, how to align users needs and business objectives, as Janefranes will always say “Designing a product isn’t just about user-centred design, it’s about designing a product that also aligns with Business goals” I have learnt how to craft the perfect case study. It is how LadyF takes her time to carefully highlight everything, down to the slightest detail. I am grateful for the gift of Mentorix. She says after every session “I know I talk alot”. I want to say thank you for talking a lot because that is what has saved me from going the wrong direction. Always telling me to take the right step. Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the 1-on-1 UX Design Mentorship
How does the UX Design Mentorship work after I pay?
After you pay, you’ll receive an email with everything you need to get started. You’ll get access to a personalized learning portal with recorded training sessions, templates, and frameworks. You’ll also join a WhatsApp group for direct access to me and book your first live group mentorship call. Currently, onboarding is handled personally by me while the automated portal is being finalized, but you’ll still receive the same high-quality lessons, templates, and live feedback.
The mentorship combines self-paced recorded lessons with live weekly group calls. You go through the recorded training sessions, complete tasks, and submit them to me for feedback. Every week, we get on a live group call where I give everyone one-on-one feedback on their work and answer questions directly. This structure gives you flexibility to learn at your own pace while still getting personalized support and insights from what others are learning.
Yes, you need to have already taken a UI/UX design course and learned the basics. This mentorship is not for absolute beginners. If you know you can’t do the work or haven’t learned the fundamentals yet, don’t join. If you don’t have a portfolio yet and feel the mentorship is too expensive, start with the UX Design Challenge first.
The 1-month plan is for people who need focused help with personal branding, LinkedIn optimization, and clarity on their next steps. The 3-month plan is a deep dive into UX strategy, business research, and building real-world projects. By the end of 3 months, you’ll have a complete case study, PRD, prototype, and even learn AI no-code tools to build functional apps. The 3-month plan is for those who want serious experience and transformation.

Yes, you can start with 1 month and upgrade later. However, I won’t offer any discount if you do it this way. The 1-month plan costs ₦25,000. If you decide to upgrade later, you’ll pay another ₦25,000 for each additional month, totaling ₦75,000. But if you commit to 3 months upfront, you only pay ₦65,000 instead of ₦75,000. So it’s better to commit to 3 months from the start if you’re serious.

Yes, but you must discuss it with your mentor first—you can’t pause on your own. The 1-month plan lasts 4 weeks and the 3-month plan lasts 12 weeks, with a 1-month grace period after completion. If you need to pause due to personal circumstances, just communicate with your mentor and you’ll work out a plan. If you don’t complete the program within your access period and don’t communicate, your access expires.
Most mentorships wait for you to bring a problem. I don’t. I diagnose your challenges first and create a personalized plan to solve them. Most mentorships don’t teach deep UX research, business strategy, or AI no-code tools. I do. Most designers can’t confidently say they can deliver specific results. I can. I teach you to think like a strategist, not just a designer. And I don’t sugarcoat anything. This is serious work for people who want serious results.
No, there is no refund policy. Once you pay, you’re committed. Make sure you’re ready before you sign up.
